Mind Your Self

7th November - 5th December

There are literally thousands of books out there on psychological and emotional wellbeing. Some are good and some, well, not so much. Learning through practical experience with like-minded people using easy to use, evidence based techniques will have a far greater chance of helping you.

MindYourSelf is a program that combines three highly researched and evidence based approaches to psychological wellbeing that include:
1. Becoming mindful
2. Developing self compassion and
3. Acting with gratitude

The program runs for one and a half hours per week for five weeks and beautifully combines practice skills development, with some theoretical understanding of what you are doing as well as the use of metaphors and stories to capture the essence of how personal growth occurs. The program explores the synergistic relationship between mindfulness, self-compassion and gratitude to create a balanced complete transformational process.

John Littleton has been a registered psychologist and trainer for over 20 years working with individuals, groups and organisations to increase resilience, reduce mental health problems and improve psychological wellbeing. Setting Your Intention for the New Year

25th November 2017

A new year is often when we take the opportunity to reflect on our growth over the previous year, and consider our intentions for the year to come. Often with the turn of a new year, we can find ourselves setting goals which can be difficult to stick to. By clarifying our values and our intention, we are better able to set goals that assist us in moving in the direction we wish our life to go in. Setting intentions directs the mind and gives us purpose. When we lose sight of our purpose, we can easily stray off our path. Focusing on your heart and what’s important to you creates clarity and self-discovery devoting you to finding your purpose in life, know as your dharma.

In this interactive three hour workshop you will be guided through reflection on the past year, what went well and perhaps what didn’t, along with contemplating the year ahead and the path you would like to lay out in front of you. We will consider thoughts, habits and behaviours that prevent you from living your dharma, and explore ways of removing these obstacles. The session will focus on setting your intention for the year ahead, in a practice of directing the mind towards what is important and what is no longer needed.

The workshop includes a workbook which you are free to keep to assist you on your journey, materials for setting your intention through creative means and some light nibblies.
